Apply for a bus pass online at getyournec.scot.
Apply through the Post Office
You can apply through the Post Office if you live in:
- one of the Council areas covered by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport
- Aberdeenshire Council
- Comhairle nan Eilean Siar
- Highland Council
- Perth and Kinross Council
Not all Post Offices offer this service. You should check with your local branch before applying.
Apply to your local council
Contact your local council to apply for a bus pass if you do not live in a council where you should apply through the Post Office.
How you can apply and how long it will take depends on each council.
You may be able to apply at:
- some travel centres
- some libraries
- a local council office

What you need to apply
When applying for your older persons bus pass, you'll need:
- a recent photo
- proof of age
- proof of your current address
