Wi-Fi connnections

You should make sure your Wi-Fi connection is secure.

You can do this by protecting it with a password. And changing this password on a regular basis.

You should only use secure Wi-Fi when sending personal or financial information. For example when accessing online banking.

If you need to use a mobile banking app in public, use your 3G or 4G internet connection.

Downloading and file sharing

You should take care when downloading or sharing files on the internet.

You can do this by installing:

  • antivirus software
  • antispyware software
  • a firewall
