Support from your local carer centre
Your local carer centre can provide support, such as:
- information and advice – such as benefits
- creating an Adult Carer Support Plan or Young Carer Statement
- emotional support – talking with trained staff, volunteers and other carers
- activities – such as socialising and relaxation therapies
- training – such as continence care and first aid
The services they offer will depend on where you live because carer centres are independent charities.
Some carer centres support adults and young carers. In some areas you'll get young carer support separately, but your local carer centre can tell you how to get it.
