If you feel that your Pension Age Disability Payment is wrong

When your benefit moves from Attendance Allowance to Pension Age Disability, you’ll usually keep getting the same amount.

You might disagree with things like:

  • how much you’re going to be paid
  • the date your payments will start

If you think your Pension Age Disability Payment is wrong, you can ask Social Security Scotland to look at your benefit again. This is called a ‘re-determination’.

You have the right to appeal Social Security Scotland’s re-determination decision about your Pension Age Disability Payment award.

Find out more about what re-determinations and appeals are.

Warning

You cannot withdraw your re-determination request once you've made it. This is because Social Security Scotland is legally required to complete the re-determination process and give you a new decision.
