Letting agent registration updates

If you do letting agency work in Scotland you must:

• follow the Letting Agent Code of Practice
• be on the Scottish Letting Agent Register

You cannot legally carry out any letting agency work until your application to the register is approved.

You can sign up for updates to make sure you do not miss any changes to these regulations.

How to sign up

Send an email to LettingAgentRegulation@gov.scot.

Include your:

• name
• company name
• company address
• email address

What the updates will tell you

You'll get emails about:

• changes to letting agent registration
• other important changes that affect the private rented sector
