For example, you can get money for:

  • lessons – for art, music, sports, driving
  • joining a class or club
  • musical instruments
  • equipment for photography, filming, music production or sports
  • gym membership (including personal trainers)

Find out more about what you can get money for on the ILF Scotland website.

If you're not sure what to apply to the Transition Fund for, you can apply to ILF Scotland's Person Centred Planning Grant instead.

What you cannot get money for

There are some things you cannot get Transition Fund money for.

For example, you cannot get money for:

  • furniture and household appliances
  • holidays
  • day-to-day living expenses (including transport)
  • accommodation costs
  • clothing (unless you need it for an activity)
  • work on your home – for example, home aids and adaptations or home improvements (including garden buildings)

You cannot get money for something another organisation could give you money for.
